“A new religious pluralism?”

Keynote speeches and World Café discussion
Date: 20th November 2012
Time: 18:30
Venue: Seidengasse 28/4, im Hof rechts, 1070 Wien

Within the frame of the UNAOC conference in February 2013 we are hosting the first of three events each addressing one of the conference’s topics.
At this event we will start with keynote speeches and afterwards work on the topic in a World Café discussion. We close the evening with a networking buffet.
We are going to discuss the following points:

  • What does “responsible leadership” mean in the context of religious freedom?
  • How can our society/ies move towards religious pluralism?
  • How can education promote religious pluralism and how should it be implemented?

UNAOC Forum Vienna:
In February 2013 150 youth leaders from around the world will come to Vienna for the UNAOC (United Nations Alliance of Civilization) Vienna Youth Forum (http://www.unaoc.org).
Three main topics will be discussed:
1) Addressing the universal right to religious freedom and promoting a new religious pluralism through education
2) Media pluralism and diversity of media content and their contribution to fostering public debate, democracy and awareness of diverse opinions;
3) Shaping a new narrative for migration, integration and mobility in the global economy.
