‘Doing Well and Doing Good’ is a project run by Youth UPF which aims to connect young people with inspirational role models. We hold interviews with individuals who have accomplished a lot in their careers and are now using their influence to positively impact society.
Our next interview will be with the Rt. Hon. Baroness Scotland of Asthal QC, former Attorney General of the UK. She became a Queen’s Counsel member at age 35 and received a lifetime peerage in 1997. In government she held a number of posts including that of Attorney General between 2007 and 2010. Beyond her work in government, she has also founded the Eliminate Domestic Violence Global Foundation and acts as a patron.
The format of the evening will consist of a structured interview which is followed by questions from the floor. We ensure that there will be enough time for the audience to interact with Baroness Scotland and ask questions of their own.
Through the event, we will explore her motivation behind the work she does and ask her to pinpoint defining moments in her life. Beyond this, she will give practical advice for young people regarding career choices and ways in which we can contribute to society.
For an evening of inspiration and insight, please register your interest at firstname.lastname@example.org
