Breaking the Slave Chain

leaflet-sep2014(version2)

Around 20.9 million people worldwide are victims of bonded labour. 27% of these victims are children. This needs to stop.

On the 29th of September Youth UPF and SOAS ABSoc will hold a lively discussion with Humphrey Hawksley (International BBC Correspondent), Hannah Bruce (The Ethical Trade Initiative) and Coleen Theron (Stop The Traffik) at SOAS, University of London, focusing on the topic of modern day slavery.

Hawksley, Bruce and Dearnley have all seen and dealt with the repercussions of modern day slavery during their careers, the evening providing the perfect forum to really explore the issue and gain real insight into the problem.

When? 29th of September 2014, at 19.00 p.m.

Where? Khalili Lecture Theatre, SOAS, WC1H 0 London

Youth UPF and SOAS ABSoc invite you to join the discussion.
